The Catalina Foothills High School Girls Basketball earned statewide respect this season with their acceptance into Arizona’s prestigious Open Division, a stage reserved for the top programs in the state regardless of conference.  In a highly anticipated battle with the Horizon Huskies, Catalina Foothills delivered a gritty, physical performance that showcased their defensive intensity and team unity. Though they ultimately fell just short in a hard-fought contest, the game served as a powerful measuring stick against one of Arizona’s top schools.

Now, with the Open Division test behind them, the Falcons turn their full attention to the AIA 5A State Basketball Tournament. Battle-tested and motivated, they enter the 5A bracket prepared to make a statement—carrying the lessons, toughness, and confidence earned from competing among Arizona’s finest.

Quest for 5A State Title starts Feb 26th

On February 26, our quest begins. After capturing our fourth consecutive Sonoran Region Championship, this team has proven that consistency, discipline, and heart define who we are—but we’re not finished. The pursuit of a Arizona State Title is not just about banners or trophies; it’s about legacy. It’s about the early mornings, the extra reps, the sacrifices, and the bond these young women share as sisters on and off the court. Every drill, every possession, every defensive stop from this point forward carries purpose. We step into the state tournament battle-tested and united, determined to represent our school, our community, and each other with pride. February 26 isn’t just the start of a playoff run—it’s the beginning of a championship mission.
